Have you thought about putting together a slideshow for your rehearsal or reception? When your favorite pictures are set to your favorite music, your slideshow will be a great way to show your wedding guests who you are and how you have arrived at this moment in your life.
Slideshows are a bit of work to put together. A slideshow containing 200 photos will last around 15 to 20 minutes--just long enough, but not too long for your guests to lose interest. Allow yourself plenty of time to gather and organize your photos. Carefully evaluate whether you have included pictures of all of your friends, especially the members of your wedding party. Including them in your video keepsake is a nice way to say “thank you” for their being a part of your special day.
Organize your photos into segments, not necessarily chronologically. This will ensure a much more interesting slideshow. Group together your baby pictures; immediate family photos; vacation pictures; friend photos; special family moments; and holidays. If either of you has children, devote at least one segment to them. Make sure that they feel that this is their wedding too. Then move to your couple pictures, even dividing them into dress-up, funny, romantic or travel segments. Finish it off with your engagement photos, bridal showers, and first home pictures.
Your wedding guests will surely enjoy the entertainment, and you will have a lasting treasure.
